About the Founders

With a Bachelor’s in Construction Engineering from Iowa State University, Ryan began his professional career underground, working on highly technical and exhilarating tunneling projects in Oregon and Virginia. Ryan’s unique attention to detail and critical thinking ability quickly caught the attention of his leaders and crew members alike. Whether it was designing concrete formwork to be used 150’+ underground or platforms that suspended workers 150’ in the air, his crews trusted him to be consistent and develop plans that put their safety as the first priority.

 

In 2012, Ryan brought his distinctive experience back to Iowa and transitioned to building vertically. During this time, a few notable mentors had a strong impact on his personal and professional growth; encouraging him to develop effective ways to serve others. Ryan has since cultivated a passion for lifelong learning and works tirelessly to improve the value of his interactions.

Ryan launched Paradigm Construction with a mission to enhance the lives of those we interact with and to create “A model of construction with integrity.” He works to build a company his 3 sons will be proud to represent and a vessel to teach them, and others, what integrity truly means. Ryan appreciates the value of the present and enjoys the pursuit of getting better each day.
